Bart: ‘As we go deeper into the hart of the CZ the language barrier becomes bigger no French spoken here nor Dutch or English just a tiny bit of German if you are lucky, however, big smiles on the faces of the bar owners that we show the rally brochures. Coffees are offered to us right away and you can hear the people think these westerners must be crazy to come here in winter!!!!
Again all the regularities were on snow covered roads with one exception, were there was ice!! So far, both navigator and driver have had plenty of opportunity to show their skills.’ |

UPDATE, 31/01: (Club position 11th! Class #1!!!)

The deeper we get into the CZ, the rougher it gets. And I am not talking about the rally. It’s the towels, toiletpaper and the barkeepers who do not seem to have the silky toutch we so much appreciate. Anyway: the roads where GREAT this morning. If you now PS2’s Colin McRae, you’ll no what I mean.
Maybe that’s why Jeroen acted just like an official WRC-driver, helping the 1750 GTV up to her fysical edges. Superb! Despite that, we lost more minutes today. Partly due to a ‘technical’ problem in the morning and a mistake in drawing a regularity-map. This helped us into the center of a snowsport-village, scaring the happy families of the road, trying to avoid our 100kph Alfa. Joehoeeeeeeee!
