Bart: ‘For those who have never visited the Czech Republic before, there are still plenty of sights that show the old communist influence. You can tell that living on the snow covered farmland must have been Siberic. It goes without saying that driving here is only possible on (Vredestein) winter tires. What a pity that The Winter Trial only takes place in 8 weeks from now because every regularity we drove was covered with snow from Start to finish….
At the lunch halt in Bozi Dar Bennie found him self surrounded by herds of sled dogs, a popular sport in this area whilst Bart’s Landrover was freeing a local in his Octavia out of the deep fresh snow (bring a double long towing rope). Competition today will consist of a lap consistency test at the circuit of Most as well as a series of regularities. |

Pfew! Today was a real navigator’s nightmare. In the morning we had so many d-tours, that the time was too short navigating ánd doing the ‘paperwork’. Thanks, Bart & co. We did TC2.1 minus 10 minutes, but after that we gained back 6.
Moving in to CZ was great. Beautifull weather (minus 10 in the morning, moving up to a ‘sunny’ minus 4). After lunch (yeah not: something like Schweinbein ?!?), and the first sigarette in 5 hours we did realy great (watch: webclips!) and finished 4 minutes before schedual! Wow. And now (00:36 hours) I’m off for the reception, seeing wether there’s Wifi in the middle of CZ... 11 Hours of steering today was enough. Have fun. See you tomorrow!
